Doctor of Physical Therapy

This program is made for students who want to do really well in their careers in Physical Therapy. After finishing, they’ll be called “Physiotherapist” and can use “Doctor” before their names and “Physiotherapist” after their names. This degree gives them professional skills and helps them get good jobs as a “Physiotherapist” in health places.

Physiotherapists can help with many problems, so they’re needed a lot now. Being a physiotherapist is a great career choice. There’s a big need for physiotherapists in Pakistan and other countries like the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and South Asia. About one physiotherapist is needed for every 10,000 people. But in Pakistan, there are only a few hundred physiotherapists.

The demand for Physiotherapy is growing, both in public and private sectors. Physiotherapists are needed in all sorts of medical places. A physiotherapist can work in teaching, clinics, and research. There aren’t many people with PhDs in this field, so there are big chances for new researchers.

  • Devise and oversee personalized physical care strategies in collaboration with fellow healthcare providers, while assuming leadership roles to enhance community health and well-being.
  • Demonstrate aptitude for self-assessment, ethical contemplation, and moral reasoning, forming the foundation for self-directed and continuous learning.
  • Formulate, conduct, and analyze sophisticated clinical research projects.

Applying for II-TECH Online Admissions Process

II-TECH offers admission opportunities twice a year, during the Fall and Spring semesters. However, admission for the faculty of Physical Therapy is exclusively available in the fall semester. Here’s an overview of II-TECH’s online application process:

Step 1

Begin by visiting our official website at [www.xxxx.pk] to explore our courses and program offerings. Alternatively, you can gather this information by visiting our campus in person. Once you’ve decided on your desired course, you have two options for applying online.

Option 1: Apply Online and Pay Application Fee Online

Sign up online and complete the admission form at [www.cxxx.pk]. You can pay the application processing fee online or at local offices of recognized banks, such as Bank XXX ZZ YY.

Option 2: Pay Application Fee at II-TECH Campus and Apply Online

Choose this option to pay the application processing fee at the II-TECH Admissions Office. Upon payment, you’ll receive a username and password to fill out the online admission form.

Step 2

For those who selected option 1, proceed to [admissions.itech.edu.pk]. Look for the “Apply Online” tab on the right side of your screen, or click on the admissions advertisement displayed when you visit our website.

Step 3

If you’re using option 1 and haven’t registered yet, click “Create Account” to sign up. This will open a new page where you’ll provide essential information for your registration, including:

  • Your Name
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • CNIC

Step 4

After completing the sign-up form, click “Submit.” You’ll be successfully registered for applying to II-TECH’s online admissions in 2023. An email will be sent to the provided email address, containing your username and password for your online admission application.

 

What If You Have Chosen Option 2?  

If you have decided to pay at the campus instead of online, then you will be provided with the username and password right away. All you have to do is enter this information in the blanks on the admission page, and you will be directed to the online admission application form.

Online Admission Application  

After you enter your username and password, a log-in tab will appear. Click that and the main dashboard will show on your screen. Now tap on the “Application form” and a new page with your online admission form will open.+ This form requires the following information  

A Picture: You will have to upload a clear picture of yourself on the application form.  

  • Personal Information. This consists of four parts as follows: 
  1. Personal Details  
  2. Contact Details  
  3. Parents/Guardian Details  
  4. Fee Payer Details 
  • Academics: This includes your matric and FSc subjects, results, etc.  
  • Program Preference: You can select the program of your choice from the drop-down menu. Please take note that the curriculum you see in the submenu will be based on your previous academic qualifications.  
  • Scholarship: You can apply for different scholarships while filling out the form.
  • Final Submission: Review all of your entered information—including Personal Information, Academics, Program Preference, and Scholarship—carefully. After that, click submit.  

Note: Once you have submitted the form, please remember that you cannot edit or change the details. That is why we would suggest you fill out every piece of information very carefully.  

Selecting Option 2: Paying at the Campus

If you’ve opted to pay at the campus rather than online, you’ll promptly receive your username and password. Simply enter these credentials in the provided blanks on the admission page. This will guide you to the online admission application form.

Online Admission Application

Upon entering your username and password, a login tab will appear. Click it to access the main dashboard. From there, click on “Application Form” to open your online admission form. This form will request the following details:

A Photograph: Attach a clear picture of yourself to the application form.

Personal Information: This segment comprises four parts:

  • Personal Details
  • Contact Details
  • Parents/Guardian Details
  • Fee Payer Details

Academics: Input your matric and FSc subjects, along with your results.

Program Preference: Select your preferred program from the dropdown menu. Note that the available options in the submenu will align with your previous academic achievements.

Scholarship: During form completion, you can apply for various scholarships.

Final Submission: Thoroughly review all provided information—Personal Information, Academics, Program Preference, and Scholarship—before clicking “Submit.”

Important: Once the form is submitted, kindly note that any entered details cannot be edited or modified. We strongly advise careful and accurate completion of all information fields.

Admission Policy Notice

The competent authority of II-Tech is pleased to announce the ‘Admission Policy’ of the II-Tech for various programs of studies being offered during the session 2024/2025. The admission regulations have been formulated by the admission committee in light of the recommendations from the academic council of II-Tech and may be subject to implementation with or without modifications in the subsequent years as the competent authority of II-Tech may deem necessary.

ADMISSION GUIDELINES

Following are the admission guidelines inclusive of amendments made to date for winning admission in II-Tech.

  • Admissions shall be made based on merit under the criteria laid down by the Admission Committee from time to time.
  • All the Pakistani Nationals can apply. Foreign candidates as permitted by Govt. of Pakistan are also eligible to apply.
  • There will be no fixed/reserved seats for any region.
  • The student will have to apply afresh every year; no previous year’s application will be entertained.
  • Result awaiting students can apply with their hope certificate dully signed from Head/Principal of the intermediate institution.
  • The admission process will be completed after one month of the HSSC/FSc result every year, except for special circumstances or as prescribed by the relevant regulatory body.
  • No Admission Form will be accepted after the due date for submission of forms.
    Candidates can apply through our official mail.
  • Candidates can also download the admission form and application processing fee challan through our official website at https://iitech.edu.pk.
  • Students must get their documents verified by themselves from their respective BISE (board of intermediate and secondary education) where he/she last attended or seek for any NOC in case required for the admission from their last attended board or university.
  • Candidates claiming to be Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran shall attach three (03) attested copies of the Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate issued by a registered Madrassa.
  • Additional marks will be added to HSSC/F.Sc or equivalent marks of a Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran as per policy.
  • The students applying for additional marks on the basis of Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran will have to pass the Hafiz-e-Quran test organized by II-Tech.
  • The candidates will have to submit their application with attested photographs and photocopies of the following testimonials:
  • CNIC/B-form of the candidate and CNIC his/her father/guardian.
  • 4 latest passport size photographs.
  • Matric/SCC/O-level or equivalent certificate.
  • F.Sc/HSSC (pre-medical) or A-level certificate or equivalent certificate.
  • MDCAT/NAT or any other relevant test result copy (If applicable).
  • Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate (if applicable) issued and verified by the registered institutions only.
  • Disability certificate (if applicable) from NADRA.
  • Fitness certificate by the registered medical practitioner.
  • Verification certificate for the genuineness of the degrees/certificates.

Note: Any candidate detected to have submitted forged certificates or fake documents with the application form shall be permanently debarred from admission.

  • Fee must be deposited within 3 days after the display of 1st merit list.
  • The candidates who do not deposit the fee of the 1st merit list will be dropped off and the 2nd merit list will be displayed. The fee will have to be deposited within 3 days after the display of 2nd merit list.
    The 3rd merit list will be displayed after the due date of fee submission for 2nd merit list. The fee must be deposited within 3 days after the display of the 3rd merit list.
  • The Medical Board of II-Tech. of Medical Sciences will examine selected candidates. If a candidate is disqualified medically, for reasons to be recorded, he/she will not be admitted.
  • A candidate whose candidature has been accepted will be required to produce the original documents for the issuance of admission fee challan.
    All the admitted students are directed to submit original copy of the paid slip/challan in the office of the relevant department for the issuance of class roll numbers.
  • Upon offer of the admission, the applicant will have to submit an affidavit (available on website or obtained from student affairs office) before the commencement of classes.
  • Students who need financial assistance must apply at the time of admissions on the prescribed financial assistance scholarship form.

Dr. Hifza Naseer

Dr. Hifza Naseer

Dr. Hifza Naseer, an assistant professor and head of the Physical Therapy department is serving in International Institute of Technology, Culture and Health Sciences (II-TECH) since its inception. She holds a Masters in Neuromuscular Physical Therapy from the Riphah International University (RIU). Previously, she completed Post Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (equivalent to MPhil) from RIU and BSPT Physiotherapy with distinction (silver medalist) from the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore. She has diverse experiences as Academician, Clinician and a Researcher in several Public & Private Sectors Academic and Healthcare Institutions.  As a passionate teacher, she communicates with students effectively and sensibly ensuring their success in the competitive academic environment. Additionally, she has strong administrative and research skills and extensive collaborations with the healthcare professionals. She has expertise in performing patient assessments and varied therapy programs, including Neurological Disorders, Post-surgical Orthopedic Rehabilitation and Neuropathies, Patient Counseling and Pediatrics.

Dr. Aroona Sattar

Dr. Aroona Sattar

Dr. Aroona Sattar is a lecturer at Department of Physical Therapy, II-TECH College of Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences. She completed Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (equivalent to MPhil) from the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore and BSPT Physical Therapy from the King Edward Medical University, Lahore. She has an 8 years of cumulative clinical and teaching experience. Her research expertise is in Musculoskeletal and Manual Therapy. She employs innovative teaching methods that engage students and encourage critical thinking, imparting a dynamic environment to her classroom.

Dr. Rubab Mirza

Dr. Rubab Mirza

Dr. Rubab Mirza is a lecturer at Department of Physical Therapy, II-TECH College of Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences. She did MS in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy from the Riphah International University, Lahore and earned her graduation degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Sargodha, Sargodha. She has three years of teaching experience and research expertise in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. Dr. Rubab Mirza is passionate about student-centered learning. She delivers engaging lectures and fosters a supportive learning environment, guiding students to achieve academic excellence.

De. Hafiz Mehbood Ahmed

Dr. Hafiz Mehboob Ahmed

Dr. Hafiz Mehboob Ahmed received his degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Sargodha (UOS). He is employed as a demonstrator at the Department of Physical therapy, II-TECH College of Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences. His research expertise is in Pediatric Rehabilitation and Therapeutic intervention. He regularly mentors students and is committed to academic excellence.
