The CMW education program is a midwifery course that has been designed for training rural females as midwives who can provide maternal and newborn care to women and children of their communities. Rural females meeting the CMW eligibility criteria enter into this program through formal selection process.
The midwife may practice in facilities and the community by applying sound theoretical, scientific and midwifery knowledge, critical thinking, decision-making skills, a wide range of clinical skills, professionalism and leadership.
